I purchased * furniture items from Pepperfry.com on January *st, **** for Rs. **,***. After the items were delivered I realised that Pepperfry.com was deceptively selling sofas that don't have a comfortable soft foam and were way below quality for the price that was paid. The sofas were so bad that after sitting on them for ** minutes my back began to hurt because of the lack of sufficient cushioning for back support.
I wanted to buy the sofa sets and recliner as a gift for my mother's birthday before I left Bangalore and emptied out my savings account to do this. I have tried to return the items to pepperfry.com but they apparently have a policy of no returns or refunds and conveniently which isn't mentioned on the checkout or product pages neither is it visible for the customers.
After failing to return or even exchange the items with pepperfry.com I realised that there was no way they were going to accept my claims. Further, I researched the company's reviews and found that thousands of other customers have been ripped off in a similar fashion. Several ratings websites show that pepperfry is a scam of a company with a rating of * accross most platforms.

There is a pattern to their outright cheating and deception of customers. I have been deeply distressed as what was supposed to be a birthday gift for my mother has turned out to be a highly stressful situation for our family to deal with.
I expect to get a full refund of what I spent.
