I have been using Uber for the past * years. But faced a really bad experience recently which I would like to bring to light. I had booked a Uber auto on Feb ** and I had chosen online mode of payment, but after reaching the destination since my internet was not working, I paid Rs ** as cash to the driver which was the total trip fare. After this, for almost a month I had not used Uber for any trips. On Mar **th I was travelling to Mumbai from Trivandrum and had booked a Uber auto to Trivandrum Airport on Mar **th and it showed that there was a pending amount of Rs ** which was already paid as cash for the previous trip. After reaching Mumbai, I booked a cab on the morning of Feb **th from Bloom hotel, Mumbai to Nehru Art gallery. The fare was initially shown as around Rs **and then later pending amount of ** was added to it and total fare was shown as Rs ***(the total amount displayed on my screen after cab was booked). After reaching the destination, I was shocked to see the final fare as Rs *** on driver's Uber app. On questioning the driver, he arrogantly replied that it was the waiting fee which was an utter lie. I complained against the arrogance of driver and requested Uber to return back the additional of Rs ** (the pending due which was already paid to previous driver)+ ** = ***, they refunded me back Rs ** and they are unwilling to refund the remaining and are very adamant that wouldn't call me when I requested for a callback so that I can explain to them with much clarity. I had sent serveral mails by now, but they keep replying stating that they are not going to refund the money. aNow at any cost, I want Rs *** to be refunded back to my bank account and thereafter I want to delete my account and app as I have lost the trust within them. I have interacted with customer service executes from several online platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy who believes in the principles of valuing customer with respect and dignity, but quite shockingly the customer service experience at Uber was very distasteful.
