How we resolved Pepperfry consumer complaint in just two days

We are happy to state that we have got one more success story to share. We have resolved Pepperfry consumer complaint within just two days.

Last week a consumer, Amandeep Singh filed a complaint against Pepperfry – a famous online furniture store. The store was listing a bed with some misleading description about the storage space.

Believing this misleading description, Mr. Singh ordered the bed at the online store and paid Rs.37173 for it. Later he came to know that the bed does not have any storage inside the bed, which caused severe mental agony to him.

When the customer contacted Pepperfry support, they refused to cancel his order or refund his money saying that storage actually means he can use plank under the bed for storing things. This was simply unacceptable to the customer as storing under the bed can not be treated as an in-built feature of the bed.

Finding no other alternative, the customer posted his Pepperfry consumer complaint at Voxya.com – a platform to resolve consumer complaints quickly. We investigated the matter and found that customer’s complaint was genuine. The product page at Pepperfry has very misleading title showing the bed has a storage.

On receiving the Pepperfry consumer complaint, we at Voxya. started a social media campaign and tried to contact Pepperfry.

We also requested customer to share his consumer complaint via social media. Immediately within just one days time, the customer received a call from Pepperfry’s CEO office and they canceled the order and refunded the money to the customer!

So, we have resolved Pepperfry consumer complaint at our platform successfully 🙂 It is really nice that Pepperfry took immediate action in the matter and resolved the complaint quickly.

Though the Pepperfry consumer complaint has been resolved by the company quickly but we will still request Pepperfry to modify the title and the description of this product listed at their store here https://www.pepperfry.com/bibiana-queen-bed-in-cherry-and-solid-grey-finish-by-casacraft-1478584.html.

It looks that the details given on this product page are misleading and incorrect. Hope somebody at Pepperfry will look into this soon.

I purchased a queen size bed from peppetfry on 24.05.18 but when it delivered to me its quality was very worst .I contacted to them for return they simply denied they I cannot return the product.how can one check the quality of the product online..just after 1 month the ply of bed got bend .sir please help me as it had cost me 11500 for worst quality.

Hi iam Vijaya Tripathi, i have ordered 2 lamps from pepperfry to gift my cousin order no 303829619 cost 2500, everything went good, but suddenly on 19th Mar my cousin got message that the lamp have been delivered on 17th Mar, when i contacted pepperfry customer care, they told me that they are looking into the issue, its been 15 days they are just looking into the issue.. i havnt seen such a pathetic service. They never give clarity to their customers. I really upset with the pepperfry. I want them to provide me those lamps else refund my money.

  3. we really had bad experience with pepperfry india- we bought the coat on 17th feb-2016 ,order number 301977215 vipra solid wood queen size bed.its not even 2years and the bed is broken, the front panel just came off and thankfully we avoided a big accident.
    we contacted the customer care service they said they cant do anything as the product is out off warranty. we paid 19000/- for this product. we thought peperfry is a trust worthy brand but it is completely hopeless.
    we regret buying this product..will never buy again and we want people to know the reality of such companies.

  4. I purchased sofa-cum-bed (qty:2) from pepperfry both in damage/ defective condition. I asked for replacement. They offer me cash back and asked to keep both. I asked for refund after return for one & cash back on other. They initiated refund for one sofa (Rs. 20116) & cash back for other (Rs. 8000). They paid cashback of Rs. 8000 and took one sofa back but have not refunded the amount (Rs. 20116) . Since last month I am pursuing them. They says they have refunded but the amount is not reflecting in my account. It is painful to pursue them for such a long time. As of now Rs. 20116 is not refunded.
