UBER - Trip Cancelled but i still had to pay

Hello,

I had booked a ride on **/**/****.
The driver arrived at my location, started the trip. However due to unforeseen circumstances, the trip was cancelled. However, Rs ** was shown as due on the driver’s phone. I told him I will not pay since I did not take the trip. However, he refused and I had to pay him Rs **. I have raised this issue about *** times on the app. However, the customer support team is so so unprofessional. I have never seen a company’s support team be this unprofessional and careless. They refuse to read my query. They assume facts. They ignore it. Especially an employee name Ramoji M. Keeps ignoring it. Copies paste the same message.


I am disgusted to see how unprofessional Uber has been and has made me drag this issue for days without solution.

Why did I have to pay cash ** if I did not take the trip? It was canceled. Why am I being reprimanded. The support team sometime says sorry, sometimes say driver did not arrive, sometimes says it’s Rs *, sometimes says I did not pay cash. It’s ridiculous.
Kindly help me out .
