We booked the Uber Intercity Ride for Pune from Mumbai on the **th March **** at **:** with fare payment by Paytm. The ride was booked for **:** on the **th Mar.
The full amount for the ride Rs.*,*** /- was so called 'withheld' by Uber at that time.
Our ride started at about **:** on the **th and ended at **.** am the same day at Pune.
The driver at the end of the ride at **** am said that the amount is not reflecting in his app and asked us to pay directly to his account. So we made the payment of Rs.**** towards the total fare + ₹*** as the Toll amount, a total of ₹*,*** by Paytm at **** am directly to his personal Paytm account and the taxi left.
The actual Mumbai to Pune toll amount is *** + ** (vashi) ie. *** (the driver cheated us by charging *** for toll, (*** X *) plus **). The cheating by the driver is a different issue connected with the fare.
Uber deducted the amount of Rs. *,*** /- on the **th (Fifteenth of March **.**am ) ** HOURS LATER.
In effect Uber fraudulently charged us ₹**** extra ** hours later after we had the amount settled with the driver at the end of the trip.
We have complained to Uber and they have made a compensatory payment of ₹***. Repeated messages to them for settling the correct amount has failed.
So, I expect the Uber to accept their blunder and return the amount of Rs.*,*** - *** ie. **** Rs to me. This amount was fraudulently deducted from my account ** hours after the ride ended.
Repeated messages to them on their twitter account resulted in payment of only ₹*** for the inconvenience. We are at a loss of ₹**** from Uber and ₹*** of fraudulent charge by their driver.
