Zoomcar - Damaged car no refund

I started from Bangalore and went to Kodaikanal
The car was Innova **** model
When started i felt something about pickup, but I thought it is because that it is an old car.
But afterwards in the middle of the trip, after driving in hills and using a little clutch plate.
Clutch disc was burnt. And there was a smoke coming out of the bonnet . There we called mechanic and got to know that we need to change the clutch disc.
Then I called zoomcar customer care and after waiting for almost an hour , they told us to get it repaired and the final words were " get it repaired and we'll process the refund as it is not the customer's fault".
It took *hrs to get it repaired and also an almost **hrs of struggle in the middle of the trip
And after getting it repaired and returning the car safely, now these guys called me and saying we cannot process the refund because it is my fault.
My concern is, how it is my fault
Firstly,Clutch disc is an internal part and I cannot verify it while taking the care.
Secondly, clutch disc doesn't get burnt in ***kms of driving.
I want refund because this is not my fault
And also these guys are not responding.
