I had * postpaid mobile numbers on a family plan and a landline/broadband connection from Airtel, I had been recieving proper separate E bills for both those and paid the same every month without delay for several years. They offered to bundle the whole thing as One Airtel connection with a single bill and make the whole e bill defunct by making an app based billing system called Airtel thanks. The issue was that despite payment the bills would reflect some amount as unpaid or pending on the app. I have made multiple such payments and when contacted the company said they will be adjusted in the subsequent bills. This July the app showed total outstanding for my One Airtel plan as Rs.****/-payment of which I have made on **th of July through the app by internet banking and the receipt is there for the same. Unfortunately the same did not reflect on the mobile outstanding bills in the app. I called again and they verified and confirmed that the payment is through. After this in the August billing cycle the total outstanding was shown as Rs****/-this was again paid online by UPI through the app. On **th August. Again the same did not reflect in the bill for mobile payment. I called and checked again they said they will revert back and still did not do so. Then I shifted my residence and wanted to disconnect the broadband and landline service for which I was asked to send a request to unbundle from the One Airtel plan, which I did and they disconnected the same after a long time and sent an email on **th confirming the same. Still the mobile bills were shown as pending. Repeated calls to the customer service numbers ***/*** were not helpful and emails sent and complaint registration through the app proved of no use at all. I visited the customer service centre nearby twice with no avail. They keep saying bills are unpaid. The final lastt straw was that they kept harassing me on mail and calls to pay the bills. I told them to verify my * previous payments and they didn't. They barred my outgoing calls and data today. It is unfortunate that as a medical professional who needs to make and receive emergency calls I have been subject to such a deficient service that has caused mental anguish and pain. The Airtel thanks app is a broken system, proper e bills are a must, I've registered for the same and haven't recieved the e bills for the past * months to my registered mail id. One Ariel plan is a hoax and the amount paid does not reflect on the app at any time properly.
