Mobile phone remains one of the most successful technological advancements in recent times. We can communicate with our loved ones just by a single touch. It is estimated that nearly every individual has at least one mobile phone.
Since mobile phone are so high in demands, fraudsters have found a new way of duping people of their money. They simply create fake websites which offer ludicrous discounts such as 90% off on mobile devices. People, however, thinking that this is such a cheap deal get complacent, and place an order from these websites.
Ofcourse, the mobile phone is never delivered but all their hard earned money vanishes into thin air. Alongside mobiles, laptop is another electronic device is which quite popular among the youth. You can have access to millions of data everywhere through it. We generally shop for mobiles/laptops from E-commerce websites or shop offline. But even from the most trust e-commerce website the customer sometimes receives a defective piece.
So what can you do if you have a mobile/laptop complaint?
How to resolve Mobile / Laptop Complaints in India?
1. Contact Mobile / Laptop Manufacturer
If the product is under warranty/guarantee period then contact the company to get it replaced or repaired. The defective product will be replaced with a new one by the company. However, many companies only offer warranties as it works best for them and saves them the pain of replacing every damaged device.
In this case, the product will be not replaced, however, it will be checked upon by the technician free of cost and the faulty parts will be changed but if the damage incurred is physical, it will not be covered under warranty and you will be asked to pay for repairing the part.
However, if you are past the warranty period and incur any damage to your mobile or laptop then you should visit the authorized service center of the company. The service center have a group of people who are specialized in dealing with mobile complaints. They will take up the damaged device and will send it for repair or in some cases will issue you a new device.
This process generally takes about a week or two. Normally there are 3-4 service centers in every city. If a part is defective they will offer a replacement, but will charge your for it. However, many times it has been seen that after servicing the phone/laptop it has encountered new faults/problem and the customer service are unwilling to accept it.
2. Send a Legal Notice
If you are unable to get yur mobile or laptop fixed and are not getting any resolution then the best option would be to send them a legal notice to resolve your complaint. You should engage an experienced lawyer to send legal notice to mobile / laptop company.
3. File case in Consumer Forum
If you do not hear back from the copany after sending legal notice or if they provide you insufficient resolution then it is best to approach your nearest consumer forum. You need not require any lawyer to file a case in consumer forum. You can do it yourself.
