I had booked an Uber cab on the **th of April from Chonko Home, Bangalore to United Meadows, Bangalore. The cab estimated fare was ***.**rs. I had uber cash of **.**rs and the remaining ***.**rs was supposed to be paid via Amazon pay. However, upon reaching the destination, the driver said he has not received payment via Amazon pay, hence I paid ***rs via UPI. Later I saw the amount was deducted from Amazon Pay as well.
I reported this to Uber and they agreed to refund ***rs on April **th and mentioned it will take *-* business days to receive the payment link. Its been over ** days, inspite of numerous follow ups and raising complaints on the National Consumer Forum, I have still not received my refund.
This is not the first time i am facing issues with Uber. The app shows a discounted estimated fare when you book an auto but upon reaching the destination, the fare is different on the drivers app as the discount is not applied. I have reported this to Uber numerous times but nothing was fixed.
I had booked another auto on the **th of April from Chonko Home, Bangalore to National College Ground, Bangalore. The estimated fare was ***.**rs. The auto driver dropped me almost over ***m away from the destination at National College metro station. I had informed him that the drop location was National College Ground but he refused to go any further. Hence I made the payment and left.
I reported this to Uber asking for a partial refund, but the chat support is useless. I just keep getting automated responses saying that the amount charged was correct. Am i expected to jump over the wall?
Both these cases have been raised on the National Consumer Forum, ticket# ******* & *******.
I am requesting your intervention to get my refund and compensation for the time lost and mental stress. Please let me know the further course of action.
