Rakesh Batra filed complaint against Big Basket on Oct 7, 2025
I am ** years old, and mostly rely on Zepto, Instamart and Blinkit for my daily needs.
BB was used this time as Mooz Tofu
was available only on BB.
The following sequence of events happened:
*. BB sends near expiry(* days left) Tofu against prepaid order?
*. When replacement with adequate shelf life was requested, a refund was offered by BB, which was accepted as no other alternative existed.
*. After receiving money in BB wallet, the same product was re-ordered. Order was confirmed, only to be cancelled before delivery.
*. Another attempt was made to place an order. Once again the order was confirmed,but, cancelled within two hours.
*. A request was made to send Money held in my BB wallet to source. Half the money was sent. On asking for the remaining amount a day later, the same was then credited to my bank account.
*. Poorest Customer service when highlighted on social media and consumer affairs ministry, they blocked my BB account for a meagre ₹***.
Jago grahak Jago is not acceptable to powers that be at BB.
No fraudulent activity has been done by me, which may result in my name being placed on BB negative list.
One of the clauses of terms and conditions of Bigbasket website is as under:
"Bigbasket is entitled to warn, suspend, block, or terminate accounts of customers found to be misusing this policy or taking advantage of instances, including, but not limited to:Excessive returns or exchanges
Frequent order cancellations
Repeatedly rejecting delivery of confirmed orders."
None of the above has ever been done by me. In fact all my orders have been cancelled by Bigbasket.
