my sony tv had * red blinking problem, which is a basic problem as listed on their own website videos. i called the service center guy for repair. they said sony does not repair and only replaces parts. they took **** advance and sent **** invoice for motherboard part. after * days they say part not available and say buy new tv we will give **% discount on same tv size. i had bought the tv just *.* years back. due to marketing sony is deliberately saying parts not available and forcing people to buy new tv. why at the point of sale they do not tell customer that parts will not be avaiable after * to * years. i even wrote to their MD and CFO. Their product manager sarcastically told be the tv is now junk. either buy new or its junk. after this it is shocking that the tv got easily repaired by local guy for a small amount and is now working perfectly. the product manager very rudely told me that i can enjoy the product and they cannot help as they do not repair. this is fooling customers, being rude and also being arrogant by forcing customers to buy new tv after just * years. they have even not refunded my advance of ****. why did they send invoice for **** for part when they clearly knew they do not have parts. cheating customers like this is not acceptable and the arrogance by saying buy new or junk the tv is not acceptable. i saw on internet they rouitinely use this trick and some people have won cases in consumer court against them. please see the link https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/nashik/forum-says-not-supplying-spares-is-unfair/articleshow/********.cms
