- Return of products restricted Open
On *th May I placed * group orders. In one order I ordered * shirts and * trousers while in the other one I ordered ** sarees. On receipt of a few of them, I observed that the products were not supplied as shown in the pictures on the website or not worth of price paid. Therefore, I immediately tried cancelling the delivery of the rest of the items. However, the system allowed cancellation of only a few of them. On **th day (subsequent to receipt of all items) only * saree and * trouser were according to my need. However, the rest of the items were either not supplied as shown in the pictures on the website / not worth of price paid/had a concern of size. Surprisingly, while marking return request of one item the same was rejected immediately showing the reason that Paytm's delivery boy inspected the said items and the item was found not in the order. Looking at such response I immediately called to the customer care and enquired about it. As the executive could not found any sufficient reason and told me it might be a system problem. Therefore, I marked the return of all such items and system rejected all such requests within seconds.
On repetitive raising the matter with Paytm, they replied that my account has been flagged by their system for abusing the return policy and has been temporarily restricted to raise return requests. Their system regularly scans the transaction history from each account and flag accounts with suspicious activities like misuse of promotions, offers & return policy etc.
Here my concerns are that:-
• If my account was flagged by the system why it doesn't restrict me during ordering of items or at least have given me warning regarding restriction during ordering of items.
• How the system of Paytm like the company can show illogical message during return as highlighted above.
• Additionally, If my account is suspicious why Paytm has offered me postpaid limit.
