Amazon India - replacement not delivered

i ordered a product from amazon india.the amount of the order was prepaid. upon delivery i found that it was not the actual ordered product. i requested replacement upon which i was asked to send the product through any courier company which i did. i was mailed that the original product had been received by amazon and my actual order will be shipped. when my order was not dispatched after a few days, i called amazon helpline, where to my surprise they informed me that they have received an empty box from me and they are helpless and cannot help in the matter. i feel cheated and diagusted. kindly help
