 - Refund from Byjus Closed

My nephew got a call from Byju's team (Mr. Suraj Mamidwar - senior educational counsellor) and informed him that they will enroll him in Byju's online learning course as they find him very good at learning but needs some mentorship. They said they will train him for NEET exam too. My nephew stays at village and he is not good at English. They made falls promise that he can learn in Hindi language but later we got to know that entire syllabus is in English.

The course fee they said is Rs. ***** and because he or his Dad doesn't have that much money Byju's team said they will help to get educational loan. However my nephew doesn't have bank account and the account which his Dad has doesn't have sufficient transactions in the last * year to qualify for the loan hence he approached me for the help. I spoken multiple times to Byju's team and then agree to take the loan on my name with my bank account. The EMI amount they said will be around **** per month for * year which is huge so I told them I cannot pay this much EMI so they said it takes ** days for this procedure and after ** days the EMI will be reduced to around **** and the tenure will for * years. So I agreed for the same and done all the documentation process.

After ** days I received an e-mail from fullerton with EMI details where the EMI was mentioned as Rs. **** then I informed this to the Byjus finance person (Mr. Sunil Patil) where he replied that he is looking after it and it will be reduced. I waited for few days still there was no response neither the EMI was reduced. The *st EMI date was *th Jan **. Till *th Jan there was no response hence finally I told him that I want to cancel this and process the refund. On which he said the Byju's refund policy is for *st ** days only and we cannot refund if informed after ** days. I was surprised as this policy was not informed to me before. There are multiple reasons because of which I decided to cancel this process.

*) After all the documentation done they sent the tablet to my nephew. However they were supposed to send books along with tablet which was not received till date (* months passed).

*) They made falls promise that my nephew can learn in Hindi language if he is not comfortable in English, which the counsellor (Mr. Suraj Mamidwar) denied when I raised the complain. He clearly lied and said he never said this.

*) They promised me that my EMI will be reduced after ** days but till date it was not reduced.

*) Considering all the above inconvenience I asked to cancel the process then they informed me that refund policy of ** days from the purchase date. The refund policy was informed to me on *th Jan ** i.e. just * day before the EMI date that too when I asked for cancellation and not before that.

After all my request they did not do anything and then I told them that I m removing all cash from my bank account so that the EMI will not get debit from my account. I thought they will do something with this my move but they did not do anything.

Obviously my EMI got bounced and from that day I am getting more than **-** messages and calls from fullerton to pay the EMI.
I realized that Byju's got the money so now they will not bother whether I pay the EMI or not. Its with the finance company (fullerton) and me now. I informed this to fullerton also but they said you will have to coordinate with Byjus team only for cancellation.

I raised the complaint with Byjus helpline too and they said Mr. Shikhar (the mentor assigned to my nephew) will contact you. I did not receive any call from Mr. Shikhar till date but getting calls from fullerton every day to pay the EMI. My cibil score will be reduced because of this. I am very keen and abiding to every loan taken by me till date. I have paid every single EMI.

This is very unethical practice by Byjus. There was no response from Byjus hence I am compelled to file complain against them. I know there are other people also like me who was harassed by Byjus. I request you to help me to get the refund from Byjus.
