Kochi: Samsung refrigerator bought in **** stopped cooling. So complain registered on **/**/** with Samsung customer care (Reference No: **********). I was informed a service person would contact same day. But had to repeatedly call customer care and a service person came two days later. He checked for approximately * minutes and left, saying he would get a board from Chennai in two days and then repair. No further contact or service provided from Samsung for next two weeks.

Since no further information or reply from Sumsung, contacted the retailer from where the refrigerator was bought and they also contacted the local Samsung coordinator known to them. He enquired on */**/** and said next day that the required part was no longer being made by Samsung and they had nothing to be done. He said the **** model was an old model as if people bought refrigerator every * or * years.
I am upset that Sumsung customer care was so irresponsible in giving proper information and had to be repeatedly contacted from my side. Plus they cannot just wash their hands off this way. They had to make alternative and cannot stop making parts within ** yrs of making a particular model.
After all the average life of a refrigerator is **-** years!
