- Not giving a full refund Open
My name is Hetal Shah and I booked Lufthansa Airline tickets via Cleartrip on * Jan ****(Trip ID - ************). My multiple attempts of reaching out to Cleartrip Support have all absolutely gone in vain with no appropriate response on my full refund status.
We were three friends who had planned to travel to Italy in August **** however due to the pandemic, we couldn't travel. In fact, Lufthansa Airline cancelled our flights and emailed us on September **, **** that since the flight was cancelled from their end, all passengers booked on the flight were eligible for a full refund. Cleartrip Support is marked on this email too and have attached the screenshot of the same for everyone to see.
The airline has also put a note on my PNR - NBT*BS for Cleartrip Support team that I am eligible for a full refund.
Inspite of all this, Cleartrip Support team has been extremely unprofessional and is constantly recommending me two options: Open ticket or cancellation with only a partial refund. In order to cross check this I spoke to airline once again and they told me that you are still eligible for a full refund and there will be no fee towards partial cancellation as suggested by cleartrip.
I am aware of the fact that some of the passengers have already received their refunds however others like me, are being harassed with no concrete response. I am able to state this with confidence as my friend who booked his ticket separately with a trip id - ************ has already been given a full refund which was remitted to the source account at least a month ago from now.
Therefore, I was forced to raise a complaint with the Consumer Helpline against Cleartrip, hoping that they would respond. Here is the grievance number for your reference too - *******.
We have been facing pay cuts and are feeling the pinch of the lack of funds. However, its absolutely unfair for Cleartrip to not refund the full amount and give illogical options inspite of giving proof from the airline.
I desperately urge you to can help me get my full refund.
