Menge Sridhar filed complaint against Cleartrip on May 16, 2025
Hi, I’m looking for help with a consumer complaint against Cleartrip. Here’s my issue in detail:
• I booked a flight from Hyderabad to Riyadh on April **th via Cleartrip. Travel date was April **th.
• Due to a change in my plans, I contacted Cleartrip customer support to reschedule, but they told me that cancelling and rebooking would be cheaper.
• While trying to check cancellation options on the Cleartrip app, the ticket got accidentally cancelled.
• I immediately called customer service and asked them to stop the cancellation, but the agent said it cannot be reversed once cancelled.
• Based on that, I assumed the ticket was gone and booked a new ticket for another date.
• But on April **, I got a check-in reminder from the airline. I checked their website and found that the original ticket was still active.
• When I contacted Cleartrip again, they admitted that the cancellation did not actually go through and that it was a technical issue from their side.
• I explained that I had already bought a second ticket because they told me the original one was cancelled. I asked for a refund, but they denied it, saying the ticket was non-refundable.
• I’ve sent multiple follow-up emails and called at least *–** times, but no one has provided a solution. Some calls were disconnected midway, and some agents kept me on hold for over ** minutes.
Because of their mistake and wrong information:
• I lost money on the first ticket.
• I had to spend again on a second ticket.
• I faced mental stress and time loss.
I want:
• Refund of the first ticket
• Reimbursement of the second ticket
• Some compensation for the inconvenience
Please help me take this forward, either with a legal notice or by filing a consumer complaint. I have all the booking details, emails, and airline check-in mail to support my case
