- MRP on site far higher than actual price of product Closed
KUL DEEP KUSHWAH filed this complaint against Amazon India on Sep 17, 2018
I had purchased Close up tooth paste from Amazon India ( pack of *).
MRP mentioned on the site was ***/- and after all the so called discounts, the product was priced at ***/-.
When I received the pack and checked the products, i was shocked to see that price mentioned on the it was **/- per piece which means that MRP for the pack was ***/- only.
When I checked the price of the product on other sites like Snapdeal and Flipkart , price of the said pack of two was in the range of ***/- to ***/-.
I mailed the entire matter to Amazon customer care and they acknowledged the same via mail and assured that the problem will be solved within ** hours.
However, no reply came in the said issue.
When I called the customer care after a period of * days, I got a very rude reply. i was told by the learned customer care executive that after sending a mail, i was supposed to call them so that my complaint can be looked into.
I mean is it a joke?
I guess that the big MNCs take Indian customers for granted and have a typical colonial mindset which makes them treat their US and European clients differently than us.
When I expressed my disgust in the matter via mail, I got a typical reply that they are ready to refund the difference.
or me it's not a matter of refund of a few rupees. Accountability of appropriate levels has to be fixed in such matters so that lessons are learnt and things improve at grassroot level.
i have written to them that they can keep the refund . i want the details of the action taken in the matter at appropriate levels.
Please see to it if anythig can be done at your level.
such things which show arrogance of amazon india and their sellers have taken place several times in the past too.
i am also planning to go into litigation at appropriate forum for the same if things are brushed under the carpet.
