- Indigo did not change our Open status to Flown Open
I have been flying Indio for domestic travel a long time now and never before I had a single ugly experience. But in this one to & fro flights I had nastiest of experinces. We flew by Indio operated Turkish Airlines Delhi to Istanbul to Zurich. For return, Vienna to Istanblu to Delhi. Our nightmare with Indigo started from Delhi airport. Our row was D, for flights flying from Delhi to Istanbul. There was long line for checkin. After over an hour when it was our turn we were told for code sharing flights we had to go to Row B. No one or nowhere it was displayed that code sharing flights with Turkish were being handled at row B. We were then told our some amount is pending. I still don't understand how did Indigo issue tickets if our amount was pending. We paid our pending amount as what was other recourse anyway. When we got on the flight, crew refused to serve us our meals, even when we booked our meals because in their manifest our names were not menitoned. We were shocked. But again, what could we do. We flew fine by Turkish Airlines on our connection from Istanbul to Zurich. Now let's come to our return journey. We reached Vienna airport and to our great shock were told that we did not fly Delhi to Istanbul! And that we would not be allowed to fly back because for this reason. They said Indigo did not change our status to "Flown" on Delhi to Istanbul flight. We were at loss for words. Thankfully we did not throw away our Indigo boarding passes of that flight that is Delhi to Istanbul. But that did not work either, they said they have emailed to Indigo and unless Indigo changes our status online in their system or writes back to them they would not allow us. We were distraught. We felt harassed. We contacted our agent and our agent was told by Indigo that passengers are "no show" on Delhi to Istanbul flight, how in the world did we then end up in Europe if we didn't fly?! And that too when we have Indigo issued boarding passes. I was with my parents and my sister and felt completely stranded. We beseeched Turkish Airlines to let us fly as we didn't know what to do. Because Indigo did not cooperate at all, did not admit to it's blunder! It was some divine intervention when suddenly one of Turkish Airline staff decided to issue us our passes. We had to rush to our gate with our checkin luggage. My **+ years old parents had to lug our bags and run to the gate as flight was boarding. We checked in our luggage from the gate. This experience spoiled our whole European holidays.
Indigo caused us great agony.
