Pearl filed complaint against Zomato on Nov 22, 2019
Hi,
I ordered food on **th November, **** evening (Order id: **********. Order amount: Rs. ***/-), waited for long but didn't receive any. Later I received an SMS from Zomato saying since I wasn't available to take the delivery, the order was declined and also as this is non-refundable order, no refund is applicable.
I contacted the delivery man, he said he is new in the area so tried calling, but the call got connected to Zomato system, the delivery was automatically cancelled. So, he couldn't do anything. When I requested this deliveryman (rider) to get the food home, he said he cannot as the food is not with him. I then contacted the zomato online support team through their official chat. After many explanations and requests, they said they have auto-initiated the refund, and I will get it within **-** hours.
But it's been almost a week now, I didn't receive anything from Zomato except for their false promises of refunding the money back. I had followed-up with Zomato support team for more than * times over chat, but every time I am assured to relax and said that the refund has again initiated from their end, and will reach me in *-* hours.
I am fed up off the zomato support team now, and am totally disappointed with their zero-class Customer service. I think these people are doing their business by consuming the customer's money without even caring for their regular Customer. There should be govt consumer court's interventions for re-approving Zomato's company policy because their policies are mostly against customer satisfaction.
My complaint is for getting my money back from Zomato at the earliest. Regards.
