I had booked a return flight from Doha to Mumbai through Easemytrip.com for four passengers. I had completed the first journey from Doha to Mumbai and was supposed to travel back to Doha on *th May, but due to some personal reason had to change my return flight. So on **th April, through Easemytrip.com, I managed to change the return flight date from *th May to *th May. For this booking, they had charged INR **,***. After making this change, I had received their email stating its been confirmed and PNR generation is in progress. But after that I had not received any correspondence from them. I even didnt bother to check about this as I thought they had already confirmed the booking. To my surprise, I had dropped an email to them on *th May to check the status of my booking. On *th May I had received call from their customer care saying there is no booking for me on *th May and the request has just been rejected on *th May. To add to this, they told me there is no show for *th May flight (original return journey from Mumbai to Doha). I mean how can I fly on *th May when I know I have changed my booking to *th May. Now Easemytrip is denying to take any responsibility and telling me that the *th Booking is cancelled/rejected so they will return the booking change amount and rest all is my responsibility. This utter nonsense. I mean its their portal who had assured the return flight change had been done. So how can I now find a new booking on my own at the last minute and it is going to cost me a fortune. In addition one way journeys are always more expensive than the return journeys. I also lost the money for *th May flight from Mumbai to Doha and easemytrip is not taking any responsibility for that lost.
As they are responsible for this whole mess and they need to compensate me for this. Now I will have to make new booking and Easemytrip needs to bear the cost of any additional cost I am going to make.
