We have purchased various household furniture from M/s Chhavi Furnishers and paid the amount against the bills.
Against the Bill No. *** dated **/**/****, of “Chair with Polish – * Nos.” for * Nos. Dining Table Chairs were purchased and online payment was made on **/**/****.
As the delivered material against the above Bill of *st June **** were having issues pertaining to Chair cloth having spots of Colour + polish and were having loose contacts for which verbal complaint was lodged to owner of M/s Chhavi Furnishers. Based on our complaint, these chairs were taken back by M/s Chhavi Furnishers to their factory for necessary repair only in the *st week of March’** (nearly after * months) after continuous follow up and phone call + numerable visits to their showroom from our end.
When the chairs were returned after the repairs – the colour of the seat cover was completely faded and the spot of polish on cloth was also not removed properly. As a result, we had again taken up the matter with M/s Chhavi Furnishers for its rectification.
For understanding the issue for its rectification – M/s Chhavi Furnishers have deputed their workmen to our home.
The Chairs issue were also physically verified by the owner of M/s Chhavi Furnishers by vising our home.
Even after continuous follow up and phone calls + numerable visits made to their showroom from our end, the specified problem was not rectified on the pretext of one or the other issue including the impact of ongoing Corona.
However, even after normalization of the situation after impact of Corona, the owner of M/s Chhavi Furnishers was now not willing to send their workmen for carrying out the rectification work on the Chairs i.e., replacing the seat cover with new seat cover cloth.
On **.**.**** – when my spouse visited the showroom of M/s Chhavi Furnishers – the owner Sh Sonu ji was not available at the showroom. He after listing the issue over phone started abusing my spouse and told that he will not rectify the defect, when he was called through one of his worker’s mobile no., as he was not picking my spouse call.
Even the Manager (Sh Ashish +** **********) had also visited our home on **st August **** for the matter related to Sofa and Chairs. The issue of Sofa was resolved. As, he was aware of the facts that defective Chairs have been delivered from their end and he was willing to resolve the issue. Even when he was contacted over phone, for early resolution of our issue, however our efforts were in vain.
On every visit (nearly **+) of their showroom and more than **+ phone calls made; he has been agreeing to rectify the defects being observed in the Chairs. However, he used to specify that due to the workers problem, which was generated because of ongoing covid situation, he was not able to get our problem of replacing the seat cover of chair rectified.
Now, on **.**.**** – he has clearly spelt out that he will not rectify any of the problems and also informed that, he is not responsible for the materials, once it has left his shop and also advised my spouse to do whatever she wants, as he will not rectify the defect.
Later, I had made several phone calls and every time he has assured me to rectify the problem. But he is not having the cloth and he has to order the cloth from Delhi. Even he has agreed to bring cloth during his visit to Delhi on **/**/****. From the above details, it can be seen that Sh Sonu ji, owner of M/s Chhavi Furnishers is not resolving the long pending issue of poor service from their end.
Thus, M/s Chhavi Furnishers – the owner Sh Sonu ji is wasting our time by not resolving the issue since **st June **** and such poor service from their end has resulted into mental agony at our end.
As we have paid all the due payment to M/s Chhavi Furnishers and hence, M/s Chhavi Furnishers – the owner Sh Sonu ji is not willing to resolve the issue and rectify the long pending defects.
In view of the above, it is now desired that the matter is taken up through the Consumer Court for resolution of the long pending issue of rectification of defective chairs by M/s Chhavi Furnishers.
