I made an attempt to cancel my flight reservation ** days prior to the scheduled departure date due to the emergence of Nipah viral cases in the city. However, I was informed by customer care that since the airport was not officially aware of this situation, I could proceed with my travel plans, and no refund would be granted upon cancellation.
I am fully aware of the established policy, yet I find myself questioning its appropriateness in exceptional circumstances where the customer's options are severely limited. How can it be justified to hold a customer accountable for such situations where their ability to take action is virtually nonexistent? I believe there should be provisions for such unforeseen and uncontrollable events to ensure a fair and reasonable resolution. @https://www.cleartrip.com/
