- Bus pickup district cancelled without information Closed
I have booked a berth in a bus from Patna to Delhi scheduled on */**/**** at *.** pm. My ticket number was TNBP******** and PNR was TS******************ENPB/*****/Patna-Delhi ** and seat no. – LS*.
I am a resident of Begusarai, so took a bus in the morning to go to Patna. At * pm, I received a call from Jagdamba Travels to say that my bus to Delhi will not pick me from Patna. I will have to get it from Mujjaffarpur, while time has not been changed. [And my bus was from Patna (as a starting point) and Mujjaffarpur was not listed even in the route of the bus.] Departure was yet to be supposed at * pm. I said I cannot reach to Mujjaffarpur in such a short time while I am already on the way to Patna. But he forced. I tried to cancel my ticket on redbus.com, but no customer care executive attended me on call. When I tried to use the "cancel ticket" feature on the website, a message popped saying that I cannot cancel my ticket after **.** pm on that day (*/**/****). Cancellation time was already passed and intentionally, the travel agency had called me after that.
I reached Patna at *.** pm and took a bus to Mujjaffarpur at *.** pm. It was said to expect it would take * hours, but took around * hrs and ** minutes, due to jammed road in Mujjaffarpur. (Patna-Vaishali-Mujjaffarpur, * districts had to be crossed to reach the pickup point.)
I got a message from the driver's number from Jagdamba travels at * pm and at * pm I got a message from redbus saying "they are unable to track the bus, so I should ensure to reach on time." Redbus did not inform me about this changed pickup point ever.
I have informed the Jagdamba Travels representative from time to time about where I am (on the way to Mujjaffarpur). When I reached the scheduled point Beria bus stop, Amar Jyoti petrol pump, Mujjaffarpur, I called the person who had talked to me * min ago. But now he stopped picking up my call.
Then I called the driver and he said that the bus has departed the stop. Now I would have to go to Khatu Shyam travels. When I reached there, Driver said he had reached Chakiya. I had to go there. It was a long-distance point and city roads were jammed. If I tried, the bus would have been departed from there as well. I was totally irritated as it was not possible to track and pick the bus in this way. I asked there when the bus was departed and someone said it left half an hour ago. Then I took a returning bus to Begusarai.
After half an hour, I again received a call from Jagdamba Travels to come to the point where I picked a bus to Begusarai. It was half an hour passed till then and I was returning (on the way to Begusarai), so I could not go back again. I am an asthma patient. A woman left in an unknown city, anything could happen to me. How irresponsible behavior this is.
I need my refund as early as possible and my damage should also be included in it.
