Pratyush Kumar Pattanayak filed complaint against Cleartrip on Oct 27, 2025
I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with the unprofessional handling of my flight booking by Cleartrip, and I’m left with no choice but to share my ordeal publicly to seek resolution. Here are the details of the incident:
On October *, ****, I booked flight tickets for three passengers—[Passenger X](My son), [Passenger Y](Myself), and [Passenger Z](My Brother) —under Trip ID: [************] for travel on [Nov **, ****]. Due to an error in [Passenger Z]’s name, I had to cancel their ticket. Following Cleartrip’s customer care advice, I canceled [Passenger Z]’s ticket directly with the airline within * hours of booking, as per DGCA regulations, ensuring eligibility for a full refund.
On October **, ****, when I followed up with Cleartrip regarding the refund for [Passenger Z], they assured me it was initiated and would be credited within * days. However, not only did I not receive the refund, but to my shock, I discovered that Cleartrip had also canceled [Passenger Y]’s ticket without my consent! This left my *-year-old son, [Passenger X], as the only passenger on the booking, which is unacceptable as he cannot travel alone.
When I raised this issue, Cleartrip initially admitted it was their mistake. However, after * days of follow-ups, they changed their stance, claiming that I had confirmed the cancellation of [Passenger Y]’s ticket over a call—a claim that is completely false! As a parent, I would never agree to cancel [Passenger Y]’s ticket, knowing it would leave my young child to travel alone. When I demanded to hear the alleged call recording, they promised to arrange it but failed to do so despite my repeated calls. Now, they conveniently state that their “policy” prevents sharing recordings and insist I must accept their version of events.
This is beyond unacceptable! Cleartrip’s negligence has led to:
No refund for [Passenger Z]’s ticket despite cancellation within DGCA guidelines.
Unauthorized cancellation of [Passenger Y]’s ticket, leaving my *-year-old son stranded.
Failure to provide proof of my alleged “confirmation” for the cancellation.
No resolution despite multiple follow-ups, leaving me with a canceled trip and financial loss.
I demand immediate action from Cleartrip:
Provide proof of the alleged call where I supposedly confirmed [Passenger Y]’s cancellation.
Reinstate [Passenger Y]’s ticket or rebook an equivalent ticket at no additional cost.
Process the refund for [Passenger Z]’s ticket as per DGCA rules.
Compensate for the inconvenience, financial loss, and emotional distress caused by this ordeal.
Cleartrip, your lack of accountability and poor customer service is appalling.

I am very pleased with Voxya. They helped me resolve my issue without much hassle. Very impressed and satisfied.
