I bought a Samsung refrigerator Model Ref No RT**B****BS/TL in February ****. The plastic hook outside the front door holding the handle broke recently. I visited Reliance Digital from where I bought the refrigerator and raised a service request No - ********** at Authorised Samsung CE Service Center - Global Services at Kota, Rajasthan.
The Service Center asked to replace the entire gate (which is working perfectly fine) and shared a quote of INR *,*** (Attached is the quotation they shared).
Changing the entire door due to damage to a small plastic hook outside the front door is unjustified. The Service Center personnel then agreed to repair the hook, kept us waiting for a few days and then again said to replace the door. They have been rude in consultation and providing solutions.
I recreated the service Technical Advice no. ********** but got no response to it too.
I will not spend INR *,*** due to the breakage of a plastic hook worth a few hundred rupees placed outside the door causing no mechanical problem at all. The door and refrigerator are perfectly fine and new as they are just over a year old. Only the handle outside the door is broken, that too due to the small plastic hook holding it.
Samsung may come up with a policy to change the entire refrigerator for such issues and that's not justified charging unjustified money from consumers for petty issues.
It's been days since I have been struggling to sort this out with Samsung Customer Support and Authorised Service Centre who keep me running in circles.
If the solution still stands at spending INR *,***, it is very unjustified and the response has been so poor that I am bound to take a legal route to sort the issue.
