I have always been a very loyal and a regular customer on Amazon and till now I have bought lakhs of rupees worth products on Amazon and never complaint of any issue.
However, this time, as usual I relied on the information provided to me while placing the order and relying on the "Guaranteed Delivery Date" given to me while placing the order, I ordered a laptop on September **, **** and it's guarantee delivery date was September **, ****. After I placed the order, the delivery date kept postponing to later dates.
I didn't complaint for this and again showed my loyalty for Amazon, I placed a new order for the next day "Guaranteed Delivery Date" and guess what this order delivery date was also postponed to * days later date. This was my second prepaid order.
Still I was calm and gave another's chance to Amazon and placed my *rd prepaid order for laptop for next day "Guaranteed delivery" date and this was the third time when I felt cheated by Amazon when the product didn't get delivered on "Guaranteed Delivery Date".
I called the customer care multiple times and requested specifically that the product I intend to exchange will not be available if it is not delivered to me on time. You should understand that the product had reached the final delivery destination hub by that time.
I had spoken to escalation team members for hours and tried to explain my problem and also registered a complaint. I was offered one month prime membership or Rs. *** Amazon prime membership which I rejected as I really didn't want any compensation but just wanted the timely delivery of this laptop as I urgently required this and I had placed * different orders just for one laptop and relied on the information given to me at the time of placing the orders.
You would appreciate that all these * orders where prepaid and I paid almost Rs. *,**,*** from my pocket otherwise I could have just place COD orders but I always relied on Amazon in the past, which is visible from my orders history with Amazon.
On September **, ****, at **PM when the product reached to me after multiple requests on that day I had to pay Rs. **,*** extra just because the original exchange product was no more available with me and was out of town by that time. I had to pay delivery charges also for this delivery although it was free delivery product.
It has been a serious harrasment by Amazon. I want to bring this issue to the notice of concerned regularly authorities in India through appropriate channels and to the consumers through social media platforms.
I want refund my Rs. **,*** which I had to bear due to Amazon's failure to deliver on "Guarantee Delivery Date" and giving misleading/false information while placing the orders.
Additional, I want Rs. ****** as compansation for mental harrasment.
