I am Deswin Jose, a software professional from Kerala. On **th May ****, I was misled and coerced into making five separate payments totaling ₹**,***.** to Shine.com for various job-related services, including resume enhancement, profile verification, and premium account services.
Each payment was made under the false assurance by Shine.com's agent (contact number: **********) that it would be the “final payment.” However, after every payment, I was immediately sent another link demanding more money — with no prior breakdown of the total service cost or disclosure of multiple charge stages.
When I refused, the agent threatened that if I didn’t pay immediately, my previous payments would be wasted, and the services would be lost permanently. This high-pressure tactic and misrepresentation caused me to feel trapped and scammed.
I had also clearly informed their team via email on **th May that I do not wish to avail any of their services and requested cancellation. Despite this, I received another mail confirming my “premium plan” while hiding all other associated charges. I have not used any of the services, and I have been completely ignored after raising the refund request.
This is a clear case of unfair trade practice, cheating, and mental harassment.
I got my refund. You guys have really helped me when I needed it the most! Thanks again for your help :-)
