Samsung - Samsung galaxy Hanging at logo

I have purchased Samsung M** smartphone on Oct' **** on amazon.in, but on *th Dec' **** I have found the device not working, I could not boot the device, it is hanging at the logo, only the logo shows always as long as the battery is charged, but the phone does not start at all?

I have taken the device to the below service center, but they told me I have to change the motherboard which will cost me around Rs ****/-

I became suspicious why a branded phone like Sumsung requires motherboard replacement in just * year's time? and tried to find out about the phone reviews, I came to know it is not only me who is having such problems but many people who bought this phone (or Samsung M series) are having similar kinds of issues.
