I am compelled to file this formal complaint concerning the "Furny Menax * Seater Fabric RHS L Shape Sofa Set" delivered to me. The product I received is alarmingly different from what Furny advertised, showing a pattern of intentional deception that cannot be overlooked. My concerns are detailed as follows:
*. **Color Deception**: The delivered sofa is a light brown shade, a far cry from the light gray advertised, suggesting deliberate misrepresentation.
*. **Fabric Quality Issue**: The material used is a shiny velvet, not the matte, coarse fabric promised, which raises serious concerns about deceptive business practices.
*. **Compromised Cushioning**: The cushioning is unacceptably hard and thin, falling short of the comfort implied by the website images.
*. **Substandard Craftsmanship**: The build quality is inferior, with a bulky, asymmetrical design lacking the sophistication and finesse promised.
*. **Pillow Shortfall**: I received only six pillows, not the nine showcased, adding to the overall deceptive practice.
*. **Manufacturing Defects**: The sofa features improper fabric overlaps without seams, leaving internal foam exposed when the fabric is pulled back – indicative of poor manufacturing practices.
*. **Pillow Quality and Texture**: The pillows are overly soft, light, and not uniform, requiring stacking for basic support. The fabric is also itchy and feels low-grade, contrary to the expected quality.
*. **Negligent Delivery Process**: There was no prior notification before shipping, and the sofa was left outside my residence without any care. The components were tossed and stacked haphazardly on each other and left unattended for an entire day, exposed to the outdoor elements. Although packaged, the protective nylon was filthy, coated with dust and dirt, further evidencing the lack of regard for the product's condition upon delivery.
The magnitude of these discrepancies clearly indicates a scam, not just a series of errors. The difference between the product sold and the one received is unacceptable and amounts to fraud. I insist on a full refund and will not hesitate to take legal action and engage consumer protection agencies to address this scam and to protect others from such fraudulent practices.
An urgent and appropriate response from Furny is expected to rectify this egregious situation.
