booked a repair service through UC platform for my **-inch LED TV. designated engineer visited my premises, identified a faulty component, and replaced the same. I was categorically assured by the engineer that the new part carries a *-month replacement warranty.
FINANCIAL MALPRACTICE: Under the express instructions of UC engineer—who claimed to have verified the procedure with UC Customer Care—I was directed to make a separate payment for the spare part. While the payment was made promptly, engineer and UC platform failed to provide a valid tax invoice for the same, which is a clear attempt to evade consumer protection norms and statutory tax obligations.
BREACH OF WARRANTY & MISREPRESENTATION: The replaced part became non-functional within ** days. Upon contacting UC Customer Care Executive (CCE), my claim for warranty repair was arbitrarily denied. During a subsequent tripartite conference call (recorded), UC engineer admitted to receiving the payment and confirmed the *-month warranty status. Despite this admission on UC own recorded lines, CCE refused to provide a resolution, exhibiting a "Customer-Don't-Care" attitude that borders on professional negligence and harassment.
LEGAL IMPLICATIONS: company’s actions constitute Deficiency in Service under the Consumer Protection Act, ****, and Criminal Breach of Trust under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The deliberate withholding of an invoice while collecting funds through representatives is an act of Common Intention (Section *(*) BNS) to defraud a consumer.
I would like to Register an FIR against the Promoters (Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Varun Khaitan, and Raghav Chandra) and the concerned staff for fraud and cheating.
Initiate Litigation before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission seeking punitive damages and costs.
Escalate the Evidence (including call recordings and payment screenshots) to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and across social media platforms (X/Twitter/LinkedIn) to apprise the public of UC’s fraudulent operational model.
