I Have applied for a new ACT fibernet connection on **th November ****.
As it so happens the procedure to apply for a new connection in ACT is to make a payment upfront for the *st month and the installation charges. In total i had to make a payment of Rs ****/- on the **th Nov.

I was promised that the service would be provided within * days of applying for it.
While I am writing(*th Dec) this complaint its been ** days since then. i still have not received my connection.
I have had to call and follow up with them on a daily basis, even despite that everyday the only assurances that i get is that somebody will call you the next day to look into it. However i dont get any calls within the ** hours, when i call them i get the same response.
Whats more appalling is most of the times nobody picks up the customer care phone number. At times when they do pick up the only response i get is we will look into it within the next ** hours and no response since then.
Even after writing to the Bangalore Nodal officer and the Appellate Authority, the only response i get is a generic automated email.
At this point i am really frustrated with their service and do not wish to continue any further down this path, because i can only imagine how their service will be once i get a connection(if by any chance i get a connection within a month or two i guess ).
So i decided that i will ask them for a refund, as there's no point in pleading for their service being "CUSTOMERS'.
Its been * days since asking for a refund, I still have not got any acknowledgment from ACT.
This is completely shocking and appalling.
Whats even more surprising is that, when I go through consumer forum there are a lot of similar complaints against ACT. Somebody needs to hold ACT accountable for their actions else they will continue fleecing customers.
