- I purchased two tickets using ClearTrip's "Freedom Fare" option for an additional premium
- Cleartrip's website says that Freedom Fare is refundable in case the Airlines canceled the flight
- My flight was canceled by the Airlines in early March **** and I received the actual flight ticket cost back but did not get the premium I paid for Freedom Fare back
- I must have sent at least **+ emails/messages and spent at least spent * hours on the call (while it was possible) with Cleartrip to try and get this resolved. However, I always get their generic email saying the money was already refunded or we will get back to you soon. Every single time, I had to reiterate that I am not asking for ticket money back but the freedom fare, even though I would have listed the details very clearly in my initial request. After pushing back a few times they would come back saying they have sent this to the concerned team and wait for ** days. But, that would be the end of it. No one will respond again unless I open a new ticket with them and the cycle repeats.
- I feel their support team either do not know what their policy is on Freedom Fare or they are willingly trying to avoid a payout given the tough financial situation
- I have been very patient for the last * months considering the Pandemic but this is way too long to get a minor issue resolved which has nothing to do with the airlines(there is no dependency).
My two years of blood & sweat got valued finally with Voxya. I got a full refund with no hustle after they received notice.
