Goibibo India Private Limited - Refund for flight ticket

I had booked one ticket for Bangalore to Bhubaneswar on Goibibo for **th of April just the day before as it was urgent. I got a connecting flight. First one was AirAsia from Bangalore to Hyderabad at *.** pm then it was IndiGo from Hyderabad to Bhubaneswar at * pm.
I got a confirmation email stating "Your BLR to BBI booking confirmed". I paid Rs. **** in total for this booking. However later that night I received an email saying that the booking for AirAsia that was from Bangalore to Hyderabad was cancelled cause it did not get confirmed. But Hyderabad to Bhubaneswar flight was booked. They said they have initiated the refund for AirAsia. It was a very disappointing cause how was I supposed to reach Hyderabad then. I called Goibibo customer care hoping for a substitute flight instead of the refund they could provide. What they told was very shocking. They said that we could not do anything about it we can refund the money only you can go for fresh booking. I was so disappointed cause all the flights for Hyderabad were above Rs. **,*** and I had already paid **** for earlier booking.
I could not sleep that night and had to book another flight to Hyderabad for Rs. **,***. So I basically paid **,*** for the whole booking. After two days they refunded only ****, which was AirAsia ticket. So I took a loss of **** and a lot of mental distress.
This is highly unethical. If they are giving us a connecting flight then they should make sure both the tickets are either confirmed or cancelled so that we can arrange an alternative. This needs to highlight everywhere. I will escalate this to the highest level. I need my money back asap.
