Koustav Chakraborty filed complaint against Oyo on May 7, 2019
Oyo launched its rented flats for professionals service OyoLife this year. They started with a referral policy wherein every member would receive Rs. **** cashback per referral person on referring anyone to the OyoLife property. I referred *-* people and all of them checked in to the property. After following up for the cashback, they said that now the cashback has been reduced to INR *** per referral and you will receive it soon. Then again after following up, they revealed that the cashback takes place only after **-** business days from the date of first rent payment of the referral; which is * weeks before physically checking in the property. I waited for the said duration and then I was informed that the cashback will take place after **-** business days from the date of physically checking in. All this after following up with their central team and their local demand manager. All of them has only one common excuse, that since it is a new program it takes time to set up. Finally now after completing **-** business days from the date of checking in, they have stopped responding. They do not respond to emails nor to texts. Never expected this kind of service from Oyo. My only suggestion to them will be, never announce any scheme/plan/support before understanding whether you are capable enough to execute and implement it on the ground.
