PARTHIBAN P filed complaint against Redbus on Sep 10, 2025
My close friend passed away recently, and I had booked a bus from Coimbatore to Kanchipuram at *:** PM through Redbus in the Sivakumaran travels IntrCity Smart Bus service to attend his funeral. The bus driver named GUNASEKARAN called me twice around *:** PM, informing me that the bus was delayed and asking me to wait at the boarding point. However, despite this, the driver did not stop at my boarding point and then stopped answering my calls.
By **:** PM, stranded at night, I repeatedly contacted Redbus customer care. They only said they would raise a complaint and asked me to book another bus on my own. It was already **:** PM, and I desperately tried to find an alternative. Finally, I managed to get a seat in another bus — but only a seater option — in which I had to travel *** km overnight in an extremely uncomfortable condition, all this while going to attend my friend’s funeral.
Even after two days, I have not received any proper response from Redbus. Their customer support system offers no way to directly escalate or get a resolution.
This experience caused me severe emotional, physical, and mental distress, in addition to financial loss. I want Redbus and IntrCity to be held accountable for their negligence and the physical and mental suffering they caused me.
