PlanetSpark - PlanetSpark not canceling the course and giving us refund

Hello Sir/Madam,

We had registered our daughter for a public speaking course at PlanetSpark. It all started with an ad we saw on facebook.com and a counseling session on Friday June **th **** with their counselor Ms. Shreejaa (+**-*****-*****) who gave us a price of around Rs *,*** per month for ** months. She told us it's a cardless monthly payment using our phone number registered with the bank. She never told us it's a loan and since we were not sure if we needed the course, she assured us the course can be cancelled at any time. Based on her insistence that we need to register immediately after the counseling session and assurance that the course can be cancelled at any time, we registered for the course. We got to know it was a loan disbursed fully to PlanetSpark after we got an email from ICICI Bank on Sunday June **th ****.

After our daughter's first class on Friday July *th ****, our daughter was not ready to attend any further classes as it was utterly useless. We raised a ticket (#******) with PlanetSpark customer support on July *th **** to cancel the course and refund our money. They initially suggested a resolution in * days but they have been just dragging it without any resolution to cancel the course and refund our money giving vague replies like to attend extra classes.

We have also raised queries with ICICI Bank to help us to get the refund from PlanetSpark providing all details of the ticket raised with PlanetSpark. We have also explained that we were not aware of the loan being disbursed to PlanetSpark. Even though ICICI Bank acknowledges all the details they are not willing to help recover the money from PlanetSpark and suggesting they need to get intimation of course and loan closure from PlanetSpark.

PlanetSpark's refund policy (point ** https://www.planetspark.in/terms) states refund is allowed if we attend less than * classes. Our daughter has attended only * class and it is unfair they are holding the entire amount and not refunding anything while our monthly payments of Rs **** has been started by ICICI Bank for this loan from August *rd ****.

We request Voxya to help us in this matter to cancel the course/loan and refund all our hard earned money. Please help direct ICICI Bank to support us with the recovery from their merchant PlanetSpark.

There are several forums where people have posted their grievance against PlanetSpark and have lost their hard earned money. Unfortunately we got to know this very late and were trapped by their counselor by then insisting on registering for their course immediately after the counseling session. Please help to ban PlanetSpark from doing fraudulent business in the name of education and spoiling the name of our country. Please help us and all the innocent public to get the refund from this fraudulent company and direct our financial institutes not to support such institutes.
