Bharat Varshney filed complaint against Make My Trip on Mar 26, 2018
With due respect, I would like to highlight few events that happened. I booked a package for Bali for the occasion of honeymoon on **th July **** and have to travel on **Nov ****. I did all the plannings and packed my luggage. Just one day before the travel i.e. on **th nov I was informed via text msg that because of volcanic eruption all flights in and out of Bali are canceled so please get in touch with our representative. I did the needful and the representative told me that I have to cancel the trip and send the confirmation by mail.
I further talked about the change in dates or destination but he said that first, you have to cancel this trip. Then I questioned about the refund on which he said that since the package was of *,***** out of which they can provide ***** as refund and for rest ** around they can't commit as they have to talk to the supplier.
On further conversation they said ok out of ***** we can try for ***** but not sure of it. They also pressurized me saying that since you have few hours left for cancellation so you have to send a confirmation mail immediately otherwise you will not get any refund amount. I did the same keeping trust in Make My Trip.
After all this, I am following up since Dec almost * months, raised complaints over website, talked to almost ** representatives, tried to contact over social media links but didn’t get any satisfactory response.
Now I completely lost my trust on Make My Trip and waiting for my refund. After * months i.e. in Jan ****, I got a response that suppliers have denied the refund. I post my case on social media and they asked me to wait again. I cordinated with We care and priority team in Feb **** and the response was still the same “Please give us some time”. On further conversation, I finally received email from MMT stating that “Refund amount of ***** would be processed in up to * working days.”
Its been **th Mar now and I followed up more than ** times but no sign of the refund. Every time they have just one response “Please provide us some time”.
I am demanding the money for the services that were never provided me.
