Varinder Singh filed complaint against DTDC on Jul 16, 2021
* dozen Alfonso mangoes were to be delivered from Pune to Derabasi, with the sender opting for home pick-up. The parcel was booked through the MyDTDC app and all details including pictures were uploaded. The parcel was collected on **-May-****, with estimated delivery showing within a week. When the parcel was not received the sender initiated a query on **-May-**** and customer support replied they will find out and revert. After subsequent prodding DTDC initiated delay tactics, asking the customer again for the contents of the package repeatedly. Then on **-Jun-**** they replied saying that the parcel was received in damaged condition and thus was 'destroyed'. Since then, DTDC is refusing to accept any carriage liability saying that the customer had not purchased insurance. They are also unwilling to compensate the freight which was totally prepaid, nor taking responsibility for lack of communication. They have also not provided any evidence regarding their claimed 'damage'.
