Easemytrip.com - Overcharged for rescheduling of flight

I booked a return flight between New Delhi and San Francisco for **th September **** and *th October ****. The total amount I paid for this ticket was Rs. **,***. Today, I rescheduled this flight through the Easemytrip portal. I was asked to pay Rs. **,*** for the rescheduling. After some time, I received another call from Easemytrip and was asked to pay an additional Rs. *,*** to complete the rescheduling. The total fare as per the new ticket between New Delhi and San Francisco for **th January **** and *th February **** is Rs. **,*** . I am trying to understand why I was made to pay an additional Rs. *,*** when I had already paid the difference of Rs. **,*** between the two fares.
