Easemytrip.com - Not refunding the insurance amount charged for full fare refund on cancellation

I have booked following * tickets on easemytrip.com after paying the insurance amount of
Rs *** per passenger extra at the time of booking so that I can get
full refund on cancellation later.

They confirmed on their official twitter account that they will be refunding the insurance amount after **th May as tickets cannot be cancelled because airlines are creating credit shell for future travel. When I wrote to them after **th May they brazenly denied to refund the same. In every mail, they give different reason and are not agreeing for refund. It is very unethical on their part now to go back on promise already made. I have all the evidence to support my claim.
