Venkata Hemanth Kumar filed complaint against Redbus on Jul 24, 2025
I am writing to register a serious complaint regarding the extremely distressing experience I faced while using your platform on THE NIGHT OF JULY **, ****, which directly affected my health, safety, and peace of mind. I booked a bus ticket via redBus with RAMU TOURS AND TRAVELS (Ticket ID: TU*H********, Seat **), with a scheduled departure at **:** PM from Sai Ram Travels office.
Due to a previous bus cancellation via AbhiBus, I was already stressed and drenched from hours of waiting in the rain. I called the driver of Ramu Travels and was told the bus would arrive by **:** AM. I waited patiently, but the bus never came. I continued calling the driver and the operator staff, but NONE OF MY CALLS WERE ANSWERED.
Eventually, AT *:** AM, I received a CANCELLATION MESSAGE and refund notification. However, THE REFUND HAS STILL NOT REFLECTED IN MY ACCOUNT.
This entire ordeal left me:
* STRANDED IN RAIN AND UNSAFE SURROUNDINGS
* EXPOSED TO MOSQUITOES AND HEALTH HAZARDS
* WITHOUT PROPER COMMUNICATION OR ASSISTANCE
* FORCED TO WAIT OVER * HOURS WITH NO BUS, NO HELP, AND NO RESPONSE
This is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE from a platform that charges customers for convenience, partner services, and GST. It is your RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT OPERATORS ARE RELIABLE, and that passengers are informed in real-time.
Therefore, I am demanding the following:
*. IMMEDIATE REFUND for Ticket ID: TU*H********.
*. APPROPRIATE COMPENSATION for the stress, delay, and physical hardship caused by your platform and the bus operator.
*. A formal explanation and assurance that steps will be taken to prevent this negligence from happening again.
