Makemytrip india Pvt Ltd - Money not refunded

We booked a home stay at Narkanda through MakeMyTrip, fore which we paid in advance for * nights stay + three meals every day a total of Rs, **,***/- .
When we reached the home stay we realised that it was drastically different than what the pictures showed. Also, crucial information like no attached washrooms with the rooms was not told to us prior to booking. Since we were travelling with a one year old child we found the home stay to be very unsafe (it was in the middle of a remote village) whereas the MakeMyTrip trip hotel page displayed the location as Narkanda. The place was full of insects that bit our child and us. We decided to cancel the booking and checkout the very next day. We contacted the hotel owner - who was not present at the property via phone but her phone was switched off. We left her a message telling in detail all the problems we faced. Then we cancelled our booking via MakeMyTrip and made another booking through them in Shimla which cost us Rs. **,*** with hotel Marina. The MakeMyTrip customer care assured us that they were working on the case and they would ensure at least partial refund for the home stay. They later told us that they cannot refund any money since the hotel owner is refusing to refund anything.
