I had an valid air ticket (PNR- Z*F*K) bought last year which got affected due Covid-** flight cancellation. This ticket was bought from MakeMyTrip.
As per Air India circular dated **Dec'** the air tickets which got affected due to Covid flight cancellations; the air ticket validity is extended till **/**/**** as per Supreme Court, India directive.
I went to Air India Muscat, Oman on **Mar'** for issuance of ticket for my travelling to India in April'**. They informed me that my ticket has been cancelled by MakeMyTrip and they requested for refund with Air India vide ref. no. *A/******/A****WSSU; these details were provided to me by Air India Legal Cell in Delhi.
Ref. to my case ref. ***************** for correspondence with MMT; there customer support executive (Ms. Priyanka Haldar) had during the telecon on **Mar'** mentioned that the ticket was cancelled by Air India on their own; and hence they had to process the refund of my air ticket. I cross checked this information (through support from Air India Muscat, Oman office) with Air India Legal cell and they replied vide email Dt. **Mar'** clearly mentioning that they cannot cancel any air ticket on their own & in my case my air ticket was cancelled by MakeMyTrip.
I forwarded the mails received from Air India Legal cell to MakeMyTrip on **Mar'**; to which I am still waiting for their response to it.
Instead of any refund from MakeMyTrip; I have rightfully deserve & have demanded from MMT to issue me a replacement ticket as per the travel dates suiting to me.
I have so far not received any feedback to my mails despite sending several reminders in response to ongoing correspondence ref. to my MMT Customer Support case Id- *****************
