On the *th of June ****, while I was booking a domestic air ticket for two persons from Visakhapatnam to attend to a medical emergency at Hyderabad.
I selected a ticket for Rs. **** and a message popped up saying. 'Lock the price by paying Rs. ****'.
I paid the amount immediately.
When I proceeded to pay the balance of Rs. **** to complete the booking, I was asked to again pay the total amount of Rs. ****.
Which meant that the amount of Rs. **** was only to lock the price.
For a ticket costing Rs. ****.
This is very unfair.
To any sensible person, 'Lock the price by paying Rs. ****' implies that you first pay this amount to lock the fare. And then pay the balance to complete the booking.
By no stretch of the imagination does the message mean that the amount of Rs. **** is over and above the ticket price of Rs. ****. Just to lock it.
I did not ever expect a cheap trick of this sort to be indulged in by Make my trip. I am a long-standing user of Makemytrip, booking domestic & international air tickets and domestic Hotel rooms worth Lakhs of Rupees. That is is why I complied with the simple and straightforward message. But got cheated.
I request you to kindly return the amount of Rs. **** to me or add it to my wallet for use later.
