This is with regards to the refund gift cards for my cancelled Europe trip(booking ID NL*************) with MMT that was supposed to happen in Feb ****. As per the update received from my relationship officer(Sapna Sharma), the trip got cancelled due to the current Covid situation across the world. And on top of that, our Visa applications had got rejected as well. Upon checking with Sapna regarding the refund status, she had confirmed over mail(attached) that we would be issued holiday gift cards in return. I had some queries regarding that for which I had followed up multiple times with her. But in spite of my repeated follow-ups over mail as well as phone/WhatsApp, she did not reply back. I have attached the multiple follow up mail threads with her for reference. Also when I called her directly, she did not receive the call. When I messaged her on WhatsApp, she saw the message and replied that she would respond back. But after that she did not.
After this episode, I reached out to another relationship officer(Dipti Jain) regarding the same. She promised over mail(attached) that we would be issued gift cards worth Rs. ****** as compensation for the cancelled trip within ** to ** working days. However even after waiting for ** working days(* weeks) I did not receive the gift cards. Upon escalating the matter, the gift cards team(Deepak Bailwal) directly reached out to me over call. He said that due to some technical faults on their end, the gift cards were not issued. However he promised that they would be issued latest by Tuesday(March **, ****). But even after waiting till that time, I did not get the gift cards.
This has been a really frustrating and poor customer experience for me. I am disappointed with the utter unprofessional behaviour. MakeMyTrip is a fraud company that is cheating and looting its customers shamelessly.
