I had travelled from Mumbai to London in Dec ****, and had purchased a ticket from cleartrip. Along with the ticket I also purchased insurance (which included cover for medical emergencies abroad) - the ticket stated that ICICI Lombard is the insurer and that I would receive the insurance certificate from them, but I never did.
As misfortune would have it I had to have an emergency medical procedure in London. I am now trying to get this re-imbursed. On contacting ICICI Lombard - they have been prompt but unfortunately they have no record of having issued an insurance product. They have asked for proof of payment from Cleartrip to them towards this. I have been trying to reach cleartrip for a month now and they are conveniently not coming back. On one occasion when they did call - they just said contact ICICI Lombard. Given than I purchased the insurance product with Cleartrip the least they should do is provide proof that they purchased this on my behalf from ICICI Lombard. If they haven't done this - then it is criminal as they have taken the payment from me for the insurance as you will see in the payment proof and breakdown of payment attached.
