Subject: Formal Complaint Against Samsung India – Green Line Display Defect After Software Update on Out-of-Warranty Device
Respected Sir/Madam,
I am submitting this formal complaint against Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. in connection with a recurring and widely reported defect—a green line appearing on the display immediately after a Samsung software update—on my premium smartphone Samsung Galaxy Note ** Ultra *G (IMEI: ***************).
The issue occurred in May ****, despite the device being in excellent condition. This defect, which surfaced immediately after a software update, is not isolated and has affected numerous Samsung users globally. In many cases, including my previous experience with the S** Ultra, Samsung accepted the fault and offered free display replacements, even for out-of-warranty devices.
Even though my device is out of warranty, it was maintained in pristine condition up until the point of the software update, after which the green line defect appeared on the display. This issue was not caused by any physical damage but is clearly the result of Samsung’s own software update. Notably, Samsung has previously acknowledged this software-induced defect and provided free display replacements for many out-of-warranty devices, recognizing it as a fault on their part.
