Easemytrip - Gift card not being accepted as form of payment

I tried to reschedule my flight. I selected mode of payment as e Gift card, bought a gift card and then clicked on "Pay now". Turns out that the button wasnt working and so I called customer case. They in turn informed me that gift cards are not supported for rescheduling. If it isn't acceptable then why is payment via gift card listed as an option? Classic case of Easemytrip running a scam and displaying false info on their website.
Btw. No terms and conditions are listed on the website regarding rescheduling and gift cards :/
