I had initially book a return trip from Toronot-Delhi-Toronto via clear trip website for *th January ****. Due to the covid regulations prevalent in India at that time, I couldnt take the flight as I tested Covid Positive on Pretravel Test. I informed Cleartrip about it and asked them what should i do next. The customer support over the phone said the ticket needs to be cancelled. Then they cancelled my ticket.
Then I asked them to reschedule my ticket for *th March ****. They kept on saying they cannot reschedule the cancel ticket. This kept on going for over a month. Finally they agreed to reschedule and gave me a confirmation that my new tickets are confirmed for *th of March. As a precaution I checked with the Airlines i.e. British Airways, they also said your tickets are confirmed.
On the *th March when i went to the airport to check in, the airlines said your ticket has not been reissued. I was shocked. I showed them all the emails and proofs of my booking, but it just did not show up on their screen.
I called Cleartrip customer support from the airport, they put me on hold for an hour and hung up on me and finally said we did not reissue the ticket. They kept on saying we cannot do anything now and you have to reschedule again for some other day. That is not possible for me.
Then I had to book another flight Air Canada on the spot from the Airport, just * minutes before closing of check in. It costed me a bomb, this was total waste for me.
Now I am trying to get my return ticket from Delhi-Toronto and they still are playing games of time.
